First Penance
Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained,' John 20:21-23.
Our preparation for First Penance and Reconciliation involves parents and children in preparation through attending a mandatory parent meeting, collaborating on the children's assignments, and growing together in knowledge and love for the great gift of the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation.
Our program requires excellent class attendance, attendance at mandatory parent meetings, along with, satisfactory completion of class assignments and other preparatory materials. These requirements will prepare each child to make a good confession, realize God's great gift of forgiveness and love in their lives, and grow deeper in their conversion to Christ. Further catechesis for the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation is ongoing as our children continue to grow deeper in their faith.
"Jesus, Son of the living God, have mercy on me, a sinner"
